Ballot Measure Tossed

One of the three ballot measures supported by Arnold that couldn't wait and required a special election won't even appear on the ballot. A judge tossed the measure because Arnold's supporters pulled a bait and switch. The version submitted to Attorney General Lockyer did not match the one circulated on petitions.

This is the second Schwarzenegger measure that has been scrapped. A proposal to wreck the state retirement system (CALPERS) was eventually dropped because Arnold's staff couldn't figure out how to write it.
