Why have a Governor? or a Legislature?

Why do we even have a Governor? Yesterday, Arnold yet again refused to take a stand on a major issue, this time assisted suicide. He parroted his tired old line of "let the people decide".

If we're just going to have a referendum on everything, maybe Arnold should come out in favor of disbanding the Office of Governor and the state legislature. That would be taking a stand though. Let the people decide...

...but what if they decide they want the "Governator" to decide? Would that create a rift in the fabric of time? I guess we'll never know.

Lets hope the people decide to elect a new Governor this fall.
