43% Never Sounded So Good

It seems the anti-Arnold efforts throughout the state (not to mention this humble blog) have had a devastating effect on the "Governator". In a new poll, California voters have given Arnold a 43% approval rating! We'd like to take a minute to thank the nurses, teachers, and other groups who have launched an impressive campaign opposing Arnold's crackpot schemes. Some other interesting numbers in the poll:

-49% think he is too interested in gimmicks
-62% think he should try to work better with the state legislature

With such a staggering drop in approval, it was no surprise that Arnold this week conceeded defeat on his plan to overhaul CALPERS, the state retirement system. Score one for the good guys!
